Animee Club

We will learn the history of Japanese animation throughout the last century, studying how it evolved as well as the impact it has had on American cartoons, watch anime and cartoons while analyzing themes that relate to literature, compare and contrast manga to its anime adaptation, draw your favorite characters, scenery, and objects from these stories, potentially use Duolingo to learn basic Japanese, and complete a project in which you create your own manga; incorporating creativity, critical thinking, storytelling, writing, drawing, and graphic design.


Builders Club

An international student-led organization providing members with opportunities to perform services, build character, and develop leadership skills. Cypress Lakes Builders Club works in partnership with Metro-McGregor Kiwanis club to reach out and meet the needs within the community and worldwide.

Cadets learn about respect, leadership, and personal accountability in a fun and educational environment learn the value of education, self-discipline, physical fitness, teamwork and community service.

Open to all readers who would like to have a hand in forming the New CLMS Book Club. Initial members will form the structure of the club. If you love to read, this is the place.


ECO Club

Afternoon meetings

The Eco Club is for those that lovescience,artand nature while encouraging students and their families to enjoy the benefits of nature.We will promote proper recycling and energyconservationhabits both at home and at school, work on beautifyingand maintaining our schoolcampus,andbuild awareness to local, state and worldly environmental issues.We create “meet up”trips where families can join us to learn about nature and the benefits of getting outdoors. Our favorite trip is our Fossil Hunting Trip in the Peace River that we do at the end of each year!

All students are invited to come for Fellowship, Friends, Food, and Fun as they engage in worship through songs and prayer, a Bible devotional relating to their age group, snacks, and games. All students are welcome at FCA.



Multicultural Club

The goal of the Multicultural Club is to provide students with a greater school experience as well as to impact the overall cultural environment for the CLMS community.

Multicultural Club gives students the chance to meet new people, build close friendships, develop leadership skills, and strengthen ties to our communities while expanding our knowledge of cultures outside of our own. Members have the chance to try new foods, music, games, arts, languages, and celebrations from around the world.

We believe in the importance of respecting diversity, that cultural knowledge is an invaluable part of education, and that by learning more about each other we become greater global citizens.

We meet weekly to challenge ourselves as we work together to solve problems. Select members participate in competitions with other students from other schools. Become a part of our great adventure. Participation in district competitions and a trip to FGCU to compete in a state-wide math competition.

This is an invitation only club for 8th graders. Membership invitation occurs during the Spring of the 7th grade year. Criteria includes but is not limited to Scholarship, Leadership, Character, Citizenship, and Service.

A social club for all students. The mission is to support students with social/pragmatic needs to gain friends and learn social interactions with peer support from their “pals”.

Robotics/Lego Squad

2nd & 4th Wednesday

Starting 8/25

Open to competition team members only. Students will be working to perfect their competition and robotics skills. The teams will be competing in the FIRST Lego League. Robotics 1 students will be perfecting their programming skills for class. Workshops, tournaments and other events are usually on the weekends.

Scholar’s Club

Scholars Club is a college-outreach program for students who want to go to college, and who want to keep an academic focus in that direction through leadership, teamwork and friendship. The program, supported by Florida Gulf Coast University, motivates students to develop learning skills and foster personal growth.

6th-8th grade students who are interested will submit a project proposal and plan. Will receive mentorship throughout the school year.
